Stoke and North Staffs

We are a society of families from across the North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent regions with children and young people affected by hearing impairments. These can range from moderate through to profound deafness and can be permanent or temporary.

As 90% of deaf children are born into families with no history of deafness, finding early support is vital. As parents of deaf children we understand the difficulties that maybe faced, especially when a child is first diagnosed. We therefore provide a fun and informal way for HI affected children and their families to meet each other. Our events and groups provide a welcoming platform for parents to socialise and share experiences and knowledge. They are also a valuable way for hearing impaired children to meet and know that they are not alone.
